Role Title: Fines Recovery Legal Processes Intern

The City of Cockburn has hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid fines sitting with the Fines Enforcement Registry. This project looks to establish the legal and financial processes needed for the City to better recover outstanding fines.
The project will examine the offences establishing significant fines, establish links between offences and properties, research options for better recovery and embed processes within existing systems.
This will suit a legal student with an understanding of data and basic finance.
The City of Cockburn is a local government area in the southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth about 8 kilometres south of Fremantle and about 24 kilometres south of Perth's central business district.
