Role Title: Historic LOLO Data Organisation and Reporting Intern

Marine Rescue Western Australia is seeking an intern to assist with organising and reporting historic Log On/Log Off activity data across the state’s 37 Marine Rescue Groups.
The historic data has been captured through established systems and will be provided to the project in Excel format. The intern will use this data to prepare clear, consistent Group-level summaries that help the project team understand historic LOLO activity across Western Australia.
This role is focused on statewide Group reporting. It is not a live operations role and does not involve monitoring active vessel trips.
The placement would suit a student with an interest in data reporting, Excel, business analysis, public sector projects, emergency services, or operational reporting.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) was established on the 1st November 2012, and performs a critical role coordinating emergency services for a range of natural disasters and emergency incidents threatening life and property.
It comprises of 1600 operational personnel and corporate staff members. It also has an extensive network of more than 27,000 volunteers engaged in the delivery of services to the community.
The Operational Research and Development branch’s purpose is to enable the continuous improvement of our operational assets including firefighting fleet, equipment and personal protective clothing to enhance service delivery to the community and increase the capability of the department.
