The Gold Ceremony Intern will support the planning and delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award Ceremony, scheduled for 25 September 2026. This role sits within the Events and Engagement team, working closely with colleagues involved in national ceremonies, participant support, and community outreach.
The intern will contribute to a wide range of event‑coordination tasks, including managing guest correspondence, monitoring and tracking RSVPs, preparing event materials, and assisting with logistics in the lead‑up to the ceremony. On the day of the event, they will be on‑site to support registration, guest flow, and backstage coordination.
In addition to ceremony preparation, the intern may assist with Training Registers by updating attendance records, supporting the organisation of training sessions, and helping maintain accurate documentation for staff and volunteers. They may also contribute to Outreach activities, such as communicating with Award centres, supporting engagement campaigns, and helping respond to enquiries from participants, parents, and community partners.
This internship is ideal for someone interested in event management, communications, or community engagement, offering hands‑on experience across both large‑scale event delivery and day‑to‑day operational support.
